Halo 4: Master Chief, we missed you.

So I'm a nerd, and Chase is too, which is why we have a great marriage. So when Halo 4 was announced, Chase knew I would buy it and he was fine with it, again which is why we have a great marriage. I reciprocate by letting him get Black Ops 2 (that ones kind of for me as well).

I was like a kid, I finished all my homework, did my run, and played Halo the rest of the evening after work!

Well...Halo 4 did not disappoint. It is so good. But don't take my word for it...below is the IGN review and then I will review what I've played so far after that.

So in conversation with my brother, we discussed how it is important to first play through the campaign on Normal and then on Legendary, because we are legen...dary! The first part of the campaign gives the catch-up to the Master Chief's story and what is going on with Cortana. Then you fight some Covenant, but there is a strange transmission Cortana keeps picking up and this is hinting at more to come. Nothing beats the introduction of the Flood from Halo: Combat Evolved, but I am looking forward to the new bad guys.

The game play is stellar, graphics are amazing, and the music to Halo has always stood apart as one of the great video game soundtracks (*see also Final Fantasy VII, Super Castlevania IV, and Portal 2).

I love a great video game and even more, a great Halo game. Thank you, Microsoft and 343!
