Below are the costumes and because I'm still trying not to eat candy, there's no other mention of that.
This year, I went with an anime theme, as Nausicca from the Miyazaki film, Nausicaa and the Warriors of the Wind. I grew up watching this movie and would make my own costume out of a blanket and tights when I was young, this is the grown up version...
We didn't have a plan for Chase, and maybe I failed as his wife to make him something (or he failed to make a decision), so this was the last minute costume from existing pieces, a gun with no bullets, and the DI...
That's right, my sexy husband is awesomely dressed as Steve Ziszou from The Life Aquatic.
I also made my friend, Jon, an Obi-Wan Kenobi costume, my sewing skills were hard at work after a break. I think I'll have to make something next year for Chase, he has only been on the mending and sewing buttons end of my skills. So here is Obi-Wan's day at the office...

Now onward to the next round of holidays and Disneyland in three weeks!!
Nice costume! What is that on your shoulder? A squirrel? Oh and as long as we're on the subject of weird animals, why do your parents have flamingos in their front room? You should have given that Obi-Wan Kenobi costume to Chase! It looks awesome!
